BY CAMBRIDGE STANDARDS, A CRIME OF PASSION -- by Steve Nadis

This evening, someone pulled off the quintessential Cambridge crime. It happened, fittingly enough, during a yoga class that my wife attended at the Cambridge YMCA. Class attendees were asked to leave their shoes in the hallway, outside the class. But when the class was over, my wife's Birkenstock sandals were gone. Stolen. Swiped. Vanished without a trace. The only possible motive: Extreme comfort in walking. And while standing still. Though I don't recommend that the thief stand still too long, as I am on the lookout for him. Or her. And justice does not sleep, even in a crunchy granola-head town like Cambridge.
