My Inbox, as usually, is filling up with mongoose stories. This dispatch, sent by the British Ecological Society, just came in today: "Stress associated with cooperating can make hard working mongooses less likely to help in the future." Sure, I'm intrigued, but I'm also wondering whether they might consider sending me the occasional aardvark story or something, anything, just to give me a break from the ubiquitous mongoose...
